Celebrating Two Years of Helping Hands Teardown: A Marketer’s Dream Come to Life

As a marketer and small business consultant by profession, I have always loved geeking out about business, branding, and innovation. I’ve loved supporting other entrepreneurs and seeing their happiness grow alongside their business.

That being said… nothing could have prepared me for the sheer joy and fulfillment of building my own business from the ground up.

Helping Hands Teardown celebrated its two-year anniversary in June, and I couldn’t be more excited.

Born to Be an Entrepreneur

Looking back, it’s no surprise that I ended up here.

I’ve had an entrepreneurial spirit for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I was always coming up with little "businesses.” Duct tape crafts, designing greeting cards, and selling cake pops are just a few.

Of course, I didn’t do it alone, I’d recruit my brother and cousin into my schemes, turning every idea into a mini operation!

That same passion carried into adulthood, where I've spent over six years supporting other small businesses before finally taking the leap to launch Helping Hands Teardown

From brainstorming new ventures to sketching out business plans for fun, my mind has always been buzzing with ways to innovate. There have been countless business ideas I’ve played around with throughout the years.

This time, however, I knew I had something special, a business that has since been described as:

🌟 Game-changing

🌟 Genius

🌟 Innovative

🌟 A great niche!

🌟Brilliant business model!

🌟 A godsend!

🌟 Never seen another business do this in over 15 years in the industry!

🌟 The vendor I knew I needed but could never find!

🌟 The services they offer fill a gap that has been missing in the San Diego wedding industry for many years.

As a marketer and business-minded person, hearing this kind of feedback about my brainchild is the ultimate dream come true.

It’s proof that all those late nights strategizing, planning, and taking the leap were worth it.

A San Diego Event Business Built with Purpose

Helping Hands Teardown has been successful because it was about filling a real need in the industry. Some of my previous ideas I played with for experience, experimentation, learning, curiosity, but this was all those and much more.

After witnessing firsthand the stress couples and event hosts faced at the end of their celebrations, I knew there had to be a better way, especially for those on a budget.

So, I built a business around that problem.

Helping Hands Teardown takes the stress out of the event chaos, allowing people to truly enjoy their special moments without worrying about the cleanup and blowing up their budget.

And in doing so, we’ve been able to establish our niche and redefine what’s possible in the San Diego event industry.

What We’ve Done in Under Two Years

Since launching, Helping Hands Teardown has grown faster than I could have ever imagined.

In under two years, we've helped dozens of couples and event hosts enjoy their special moments. The continued need, word-of-mouth referrals, and collaboration with other industry professionals continue to prove that we’re doing great things!

Some exciting business milestones we’ve hit so far:

🎉Became profitable!

🎉Established relationships with top wedding vendors and venues who recognize the value we bring to their clients.

🎉Increased growth of inquiries and bookings.

🎉Continued high conversion rates.

🎉Expanded our team to keep up with demand and serve more events.

🎉Give back with annual donations to nonprofit organizations.

The growth has been incredible, and we’re just getting started! The fact that this business, built from an idea I once sketched out in my phone, is now making a real difference at a special time in people’s lives is beyond rewarding.

As We Grow We Find Ways to Give Back to San Diego’s Community

Our success wouldn’t be possible without all the amazing individuals, families, and businesses that make the San Diego community great. Because we hold this belief so deeply, we’re constantly looking for ways to give back.

Each year, we select a non-profit to donate to. This year, we chose Alliance San Diego, an organization whose mission is to build “collective power” to “create a more inclusive democracy where everyone can exercise their human dignity in an environment of harmony, safety, equality and justice.”

Here’s an idea of some of the great work they do:

  • Protect civil and human rights through legal support, litigation, and advocacy.

  • Engage and mobilize communities to increase civic participation and voter turnout.

  • Advocate for equitable policies by researching issues and working within local and statewide coalitions.

We all have a role to play and we’re honored to be a part of the San Diego community.

From a Business Idea to a Dream Realized

All in all, it’s been an incredible journey, one that pushes me and fulfills me more than I expected. Seeing my vision come to fruition has been one of the greatest accomplishments of my life thus far.

And the best part? Helping the wonderful people that live in the San Diego area. Seeing couples and families truly enjoy their weddings and events without extra stress is the biggest win of all.

To everyone who has supported Helping Hands Teardown, whether by booking us, referring us, or simply cheering us on, thank you for being part of this journey. Here’s to continued growth, innovation, and making dream events stress-free!

Cheers,

Veronica Owner & CEO, Helping Hands Teardown
