At Helping Hands Teardown, we believe in the power of community and compassion. Our Helping Hands for Hearts in Need program offers free services to two deserving recipients each year:

1. A Couple Facing Extraordinary Hardship

2. A Nonprofit Organization Hosting a Special Event

For Couples

We understand the stress that life’s challenges can bring, especially on a day as important as your wedding. That’s why we’re committed to providing a deserving couple navigating extreme financial hardship, serious medical issues, or other significant obstacles with pro bono services.

• How It Works: Friends, family, or community members can nominate a San Diego-based couple in need. Our team will review nominations through a thoughtful vetting process and select one couple per year to receive this gift of care and support.

• What’s Included: Services will be tailored to the couple’s unique needs to ensure they can focus on celebrating their love without worry. While no specific service level (hours) is guaranteed, we’re committed to making a meaningful difference for the chosen couple.

For Nonprofit Organizations

We know that non-profits often operate with limited resources, yet their events are vital to driving change and fostering community. That’s why we’re extending our pro bono program to support one non-profit organization annually with event support services.

• How It Works: Non-profit organizations in San Diego can apply or be nominated for this opportunity. We’ll evaluate nominations and select one organization that demonstrates a significant positive impact on the community.

• What’s Included: Our team will assist with the event, easing the burden on non-profit staff and volunteers. While no specific service level (hours) is guaranteed, services will be customized to meet the organization’s needs, enabling them to focus on their mission while we handle the logistics.

As part of this program, we aim to amplify the stories of the selected couple and non-profit organization through our blog and media channels. By highlighting their journeys, we hope to inspire others and celebrate the power of care and community.

Announcement of Awardees: January 2026

Events must occur between February 1, 2026 and December 31, 2026 AND at a location within 35 miles from Pacific Beach. 

Terms & Conditions: Both nominators and nominees are required to conduct video chat interviews with Helping Hands Teardown during the selection process. Selected awardees for the Helping Hands for Hearts in Need program will be notified via email and must respond within 10 business days to confirm acceptance. If we do not receive a response within this timeframe, we reserve the right to select an alternate recipient. By accepting the award, the recipient agrees to allow Helping Hands Teardown to take photos and/or video at their event and to have their story and event coverage shared publicly across our blog, social media platforms, and potential media or news outlets.
